Haleh Boroumand
Haleh is the founder of Up4Success, LLC, a networking company focused on promoting women-owned businesses. Up4Success creates the opportunity for women to connect through empowering and collaborative events. A life coach, humanitarian, and community leader dedicated to creating opportunity and harmony for women across the globe. She stands for women to find their worth and develop drive to reach their full potential.
Mehrnaz Boroumand Smith
Mehrnaz is Partner at the law firm of Kilpatrick Townsend and Stockton where she focuses her practice on intellectual property (IP) and complex commercial litigation matters. She is also serving her second term as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, was the Managing Partner of the San Francisco Office from 2014-2017 and previously served on the firm’s Diversity Council.
Taraneh Boroumand
Taraneh is an Iranian playwright, writer, poet, and translator. She is the author of a collection of short stories, a book of poetry, and three plays. She is best known for her theatrical debut Gereh-ie Dar Tar-o Pood-e Naghsh (A Knot in the Warp and Weft of a Design), a play about a journey and decision through which one character ultimately finds herself and another loses himself.
Shervin Hadjilou
Shervin has been a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State since 2005. She currently works on Public Diplomacy in the Office of Iranian Affairs and is the Diaspora Liaison. For the past six years, she has been working on Iran-related civil society, human rights, and digital media freedom issues, for which she has received Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards.
Bahareh Kia
Bahareh Kia is an immigrant born in 1985 in Tehran, Iran, graduated from Bonyad University in Travel and Tourism Management and worked within Tourism and Event Management Industry for more than 15 years. Bahareh is dedicated to building relationships with clients and developing innovative events from concept to execution.
Bahareh has a passion for the event industry, and has extensive experience from her many years at the industry such as event management, sales, marketing and customer service, which helped her gain excellent communication, planning and organizational skills. Leveraging these skills, Bahareh has planned and managed a variety of events, such as corporate conferences, non-profit fundraisers, galas, and weddings to name a few.
Georgina Kyriacou
Georgina is an attorney with nearly 30 years experience in advising substantial businesses on complex legal issues and providing strategic and commercial solutions. She has established and led teams of solicitors in the business sector having significant experience in every aspect of commercial transactions. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, re-structuring and insolvency. She has also advised businesses with regard to a wealth of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.
Dr. Soheila Rostami
Soheila Rostami was born in Isfahan, Iran, and traveled to the US for education on a student visa in 1985. She attended Howard University and received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1990. She graduated from Howard University Medical School with honors in 1994, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honors medical society.
She began her career in 2000 with a Maryland group practice as an associate. She then opened her own practice in Virginia in 2004, and has been practicing there ever since. She currently has two successful offices in Northern Virginia.
She has been past Section Chief of Ophthalmology at the Reston Hospital Center. She is assistant professor at George Washington University Hospital and Howard University Hospital. She is on the board of American Board of Cosmetic Surgery as well as on the board of Medical Society of Northern Virginia.
She has two wonderful sons, and is very involved with the Iranian American community in Northern Virginia.
Leila Saedian
Leila Saedian is a Senior Director of Marketing for a privately owned snack company, Popcornopolis, in Los Angeles, California. She exclusively works on global eCommerce accounts such as Amazon and Alibaba, where she primarily focuses on digital advertising and social media content while making sure customer experience shopping online is one of a kind. Prior to working at Popcornopolis, Leila was with the Coca-Cola company for ten years, where she was the Director of Supply chain for eCommerce and Red Bull where she was the Director of Marketing/Sales for Amazon. During her free time, Leila is active with her local community in Los Angeles, including nonprofit organizations such as Run for Her (benefiting Ovarian Cancer Research), Network of Executive Women, and works with local and State legislators on issues such as beverages taxes, environmental issues, and other initiatives. Leila is a California native, having lived in both the Silicon Valley and Los Angeles (where she currently lives). She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from California State University, Monterey Bay.
Sandip Soparrkar
Sandip is an Indian Latin and ballroom dancer, Bollywood choreographer, actor and columnist who holds a doctorate in World Mythology Folklore from the United States. He founded "India Dance Week", which combines Indian and international dance. He has also become a philanthropist with the initiative "Dance for a Cause". At the British House of Commons, World Book of Reconds / Indo-British Cultural forum honored Soparrkar with the title of "Ballroom Dance Jewel". He is the only dancer choreographer of India who has a postage stamp issued by the Bhutan Government with his picture and with the logo of his worldwide initiative 'Dance for a Cause’.
Joslyn Wolfe
Joslyn is an Adjunct Professor of Speech Communication, an Addictions Counselor, as well as a Publisher of Focus on Women Magazine.
Along side her work as a Global Goodwill Ambassador, she is also Featured in a High School Textbook for Social Studies as a Case Study in Grassroots Organizing.
Shoeleh Moarefi
Shoeleh is the founder and CEO of Floral Fantasy in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Shoeleh is serving on the Stewarship council of Komak, a Portland-based 501(c) 3 that brings immediate and interim financial solutions to working age individuals who are going through cancer treatment, and live within a 50 mile radius of Portland. She is an active volunteer in her community and helps various nonprofits.
